Eating disorders are serious

and they're hiding in plain sight.

Eating disorders are brain-based illnesses that affect over one million Australians. They impact people of all genders, ages and backgrounds. Contrary to popular belief, you can't tell if someone has an eating disorder by looking at them. Due to the severe impact that eating disorders can have on a person's mental, physical and social health, it's important to know the warning signs for yourself or someone you care about, and seek help as early as possible.

Yes, recovery is possible!

With the right support, anyone can recover from an eating disorder.

Early intervention is important, but be assured that anyone can recover from an eating disorder no matter the duration of illness. At Eating Disorders Victoria, we're committed to providing people affected by eating disorders, their support people and health professionals, with the information and skills needed across the journey, from discovery to recovery.

Knowledge is power

To win the fight against eating disorders, you've got to be in the know.

Using the resources available through this e-learning platform, you will develop the knowledge and skills required to make a difference, whether that be for yourself, your loved one or your community.

What others are saying

It's never too late

"I'm very grateful to EDV. I've had an ED for 16 years and I've never addressed it because I never knew where or how to do it. EDV gave me a safe space and tools to start recovery.
